My wife and I watched the first episode of Ugly Betty on Channel 4. I really enjoyed it and think it will prove to be a great series.

My wife on the other hand felt it was very derogatory and insulting to clumsy badly dressed people wearing braces (on their teeth before you say it). Maybe the first episode was intended to begin a story of how people can be misjudged by the “beautiful people” and the realisation that they were wrong.

I may have misunderstood altogether but it looks like it will only get better.
